UConn Rescue is a student run 501(c)3 non-profit organization located at UConn, Storrs. We are a student organization focused on providing CPR and STB education for the community and bringing together like-minded students to learn about different aspects of EMS.

First membership meeting of UCR

Training program is launched and the first CPR classes are held

UCR is founded by a group of EMS friends.
2017
Kristen Whyte introduces STB to UCR
2018
University AED committee is founded

2019
UConn receives recognition as a HeartSafe campus
2020
First Emergency Care Conference (2,000 students trained!)
2021
Despite the restrictions of COVID-19, we continued to provide training

2023
We began cross training instructors, over 2,600 students have been trained
UConn Rescue Board of Advisors is founded, officially received 501(c)3 status

UCR offers first EMT classes at Storrs and Waterbury with Allied Health
